It all started in the year of 2012
Golden Castor is a brand name owned by Green Crop Farming Group A/S Denmark, which was founded in 2012 with the aim of producing Chia Seeds for the American market.
Behind the Green Crop Farming Group were the two Danes Lars Bollerup and Andre Rafnsson and the Ghanaian John Agyemfra. In the picture John Agyemfra is to be seen as number two from the left, and Lars Bollerup is next to John Agyemfra.

The first huge building for cleaning, drying and packaging of seeds was ready.

2015
Social program
In 2015 a social program was introduced. The social program covered physically challenged people, schools, orphans and hospitals. The program has been awarded by several social organizations.
2021
Castor - the perfect Crop
Between 2013 and 2021 Chia, Maize, Soya and Black Gram were grown on the farm. In 2021 the first experiments with Castor were made, and it showed that Castor was a perfect crop for the Ghanian whether and soil, as it could be produced without fertilizer and with a minimum of water.
